Holistic And Natural Pet Product Manufacturers
One of the things that is really refreshing about dealing with the pet products industry in our niche - holistic and natural pet products - is the prevailing attitude of genuine care for animal welfare or well being. The companies we choose to deal with at Well Beings produce merchandise that show a high level of care in the design and manufacturing of foods, supplements, treats, and other pet supplies.
While many of those companies could save a lot of money by cutting corners and use inferior ingredients, they just don't do it. The Honest Kitchen for example uses human grade ingredients. Many of which are labeled as organic. They even have gone through FDA approval. And the meat they use is USDA approved as well... This is a big deal since they are the only ones that can tout such credentials at this time.
These folks are always a pleasure to talk to. If you have a chance to attend one of their free seminars, you'll enjoy their informative presentations. They don't just talk about their own products. At their last seminar they discussed what's going on behind the scenes in the pet food industry... including what is called ingredient splitting and how it can fool the public into thinking that some foods have better ingredients than they actually contain. We'll have more about that in some later posts.
