The Honest Kitchen: Force - Dehydrated Raw Dog Food
Our senior dog (19 yrs) is a very picky eater. Although chicken meat is her favorite, she'll eat some canned foods. We had no luck with a raw diet. Maybe because she seems to have a diminished sense of smell. But we know her eyesight is OK. She can spot a piece of chicken from across the room still.
When we learned about The Honest Kitchen's dehydrated raw dog food we just had to try it on Doodle. We tried all three products: Force, Verve, and Embark. Of the three, she seems to favor Force.
Details on Force - grain-free formula:
Ingredients: 100% human food grade USDA Chicken, Organic Flaxseed, Potatoes, Celery, Sweet Potatoes, Apples, Alfalfa, Kelp, Honey, Zucchini, Green Beans, Cabbage, Bananas, Papayas, Yogurt, Basil, Garlic, Rosemary and Vitamins and Minerals: Tricalcium Phosphate, Choline Chloride, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Potassium Iodide, Potassium Chloride, Copper Amino Acid Chelate.
Guaranteed Analysis:

Feeding Guidelines:
The following daily amounts should be adjusted to suit your individual dog's requirements, which vary according to age, breed and level of daily activity. The Honest Kitchen's dehydrated foods must be hydrated with warm water, wait 10 minutes before serving. Each bucket of food will make just over 4 times its weight in fresh food, when hydrated.
Up to 10 lbs....................................1/2 Cup
Up to 30 lbs.................................... 1 Cup
Up to 50 lbs.................................... 2 Cups
Up to 70 lbs.................................... 2 1/4 Cups
Up to 90 lbs.................................... 2 3/4 Cups
A full standard US Measuring Cup of dehydrated food will hydrate to make about 1lb of fresh food. Half to one cup of extra meat or other ingredients may be mixed in with each cup of food after it has been mixed with water.
The mixed food doesn't look all that appealing but dogs love it. And as you can see from the ingredients it contains a lot of elements you'd expect to find in pet supplements. The Honest Kitchen really did come up with a complete and well-balanced food for your dog.
