This one really hits close to home. Our dog Doodle is going to be 19 in a couple of months, which is pretty old for a large breed dog - german shepard / dobbie mix. And she does exhibit a lot of these signs. She's had difficulty with her hind right leg giving out on her... We're doing everything we can to make sure she's taken care of.

We know the unavoidable will be coming soon enough... but as long as she doesn't look like she's suffering, and shows interest in walking and feeding herself, we're not going to look at the final option. We're hoping she'll give us a sign that she's ready to go...
