The Honest Kitchen -- Honest and Generous Business Practices

Christine and I started Well Beings after adopting Doodle. She inspired us to find the best products for her care. Beings almost 19, this dog has taught us a trick or two. One of them was getting us interested in learning about alternative care. We learned a lot about holistic nutrition and alternative medicine.

Another bonus about working in this field is the kind of people we deal with. Customers who care about their senior cat or dog are usually very nice to talk to. It's a far cry from the rat race corporate world I lived with prior to this business.

I'd like to highlight the companies we deal with that do benevolent things like donate part of their proceeds to charity and animal organizations. It is not uncommon in this circle for companies to give back to the community in ways that truly make a difference.

So here's some info about The Honest Kitchen and how they make a difference.

Their mission statement is "...we are dedicated to taking holistic dog food to a whole new level - re-defining standards of integrity, service and accountablility throughout the pet food industry and conducting business with foresight, thoughtfulness, insight & integrity."

The Honest Kitchen is currently donating part of their sales to charities aiding pets who are suffering as a result of Hurricane Katrina. In the past, The Honest Kitchen has donated to various non-profit organizations that benefit people and pets around the world.

Now that's good karma!
